The aim is to develop an innovative app designed to support both physical health and mental wellbeing in a simple, engaging way. The app will include features such as daily mood check in, gym attendance tracking, guided relaxation tools, wellbeing streaks, and motivating gym-based challenges.

What is the problem? How can we resolve it?

The problem is that not enough people exercise regularly, which can lead to both physical and mental health problems. Exercise is proven to improve mood, reduce stress, and support overall wellbeing, but many people struggle to stay motivated or track the positive impact it has on their mental health.

To help address this issue, I will create an app that connects fitness with mental health wellbeing. The app with allow users to check in with their mood before and after going to the gym so they can see how exercise affects how they feel. It will also include gym missions, targets, and rewards to keep users motivated. Other features will include a calm gym map to help users find quieter areas in the gym, a mental health streak to encourage consistent habits, and a community feature where users can support motivate each other.

The goal of the app is to encourage more people to exercise regularly while also helping them become more aware of the positive effects it can have on their mental health.

I wanted to create a wide range of characters that could be used throughout the app, helping to give an identify. When designing them I took the soft and calming  colour palette I had chosen. To create the illustrations I used the software, procreate, this allowed me to experiment with shapes and adjust details.
